STUDENT MINISTRIES
Welcome to student ministries!
A place to belong to one another and to become more like Jesus.
Middle School Ministry
10:00 am - 11:15 am
High School Ministry
11:30 am - 1:00 pm
Middle School (MSM)
Middle school students meet during the 10:00 am main service. Your students will experience a game, worship, and interactive message designed to help students connect their faith and the teachings of Scripture to everyday life. Our ministry model is centered around small group leaders who show up weekly and care for your students during what we believe is the most crucial phase of their life. Leaders help students build community and discover what it means to develop a faith of their own.
High School (HSM)
High school students attend the main service together and are encouraged to serve on a variety of Sunday teams. You will see their faces in Kidtown, the Café, leading worship, or in other areas around the church.
After service, all high school students are invited to a gathering upstairs in the SM room. We provide lunch where students are able to connect with one another. Followed by time with other students and adult leaders to talk about life and faith.
SM ClubHouse
SM Clubhouse is a safe, inclusive environment for students of all abilities to belong and become while learning about God’s love and purpose for their life. We believe the most important thing we can give a teenager is a safe place, and a consistent adult who shows up to help nurture their experience of God. SM clubhouse provides a safe place for students with unique needs to connect with a consistent leader in an environment designed around their needs.
LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR WEEKEND
As a church who wants to see EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE experience and be transformed by Jesus, we know time invested in our community matters. Love Your Neighbor Weekend creates opportunities for students to partner with community organizations and see ways Jesus might be leading them to love their neighbors well.
What is Love Your Neighbor Weekend?
Love Your Neighbor Weekend is a 2 day experience for students to gather together, learn, and serve with local organizations supporting our community.
On Friday night, students will eat together, learn what Jesus says about loving your neighbor, and discuss ways to love their neighbor on a regular basis. They’ll also have time to build connections with other students and leaders, participate with in-house service learning experiences, spend time in worship, and hopefully sleep.
On Saturday, students will be in service learning groups to partner with a variety of local organizations. Groups will return to Overlake for a time of sharing and de-briefing before they head home.
This weekend is open to everyone in middle school and high school, so encourage your students to invite their friends to join us!
