Separation, divorce or the end of another long-term relationship is painful, and you may be tempted to pull away from everyone. Allow us to help you through this ordeal and provide a safe environment where you can process what you're going through.

DivorceCare at Overlake Christian Church is a small group of people who, like you, are going through this difficult time. Volunteer group facilitators also understand...as they have experienced divorce and have found wholeness and healing...AND a renewed relationship with God.

Feel free check out OCC's DivorceCare support group anytime during its 13 week repeating cycle. Topics discussed include, Anger, Loneliness, Children & Divorce, Depression, Forgiveness, Sexuality, Reconciliation and Surviving Financially. A typical DivorceCare class includes a brief, topical teaching (via DVD) followed by about 90 minutes of interactive discussion in smaller groups.

You don't have to attend Overlake Christian Church - or any church for that matter to be part of DivorceCare - in fact, you don't even have to be a Christian or follow any particular faith - DivorceCare is open to everyone.

Don’t go through separation or divorce alone (and feel to drop in anytime - even just once - you're ALWAYS welcome to check out DivorceCare).

What's the Difference Between DivorceCare and Divorce Recovery Group?

Overlake's Divorce Recovery Group is an ongoing support group that meets Mondays at 7 pm in a room just inside OCC's back (east) doors. This group offers topic-driven, weekly teaching, interaction / discussion, a strong sense of community and meets every Monday evening throughout the year (except holidays). Also, child care is not offered during Monday evening Divorce Recovery groups. Some folks are part of both groups (Divorce Recovery Group and DivorceCare) - there is often social interaction/activites between group members outside of the evening meetings.
