sm// Jake's Bio

sm-jake-2011

Allow me to introduce me... my name is Jake and although my parents own a cat… I still love them. They raised me right in a little hick town far, far away from anything normal. (Eatonville, WA) It was there I learned how to floss my teeth, chop wood, and follow Jesus with all my guts.

The teen years were a bit awkward… but like diapers, I grew out of 'em. Soon I journeyed off to Northwest College. Ahhh... those we’re the years! I basically discovered two things: that I had this obsessive compulsive desire to clean things, and that God was calling me into ministry for his glory.

In the summer of ‘03, I was introduced to the most beautiful thought God ever had… Miss Davy Jill. And after a little wink here and a shiny rock there… I married the prettiest little supermodel on the planet! My wife is my best feature and the sweet to my sour.

On 09/09/09 we welcome our first daughter Paisley Joy into this world. Talk about a blessing from God! That girl stole my heart!

As for now, I’m humbled to be hanging out with the coolest people on the planet... teenagers! As a youth pastor, I absolutely believe that the teen years are the most crucial in a person’s life. And because of that… I wanna to be sharing Jesus with students until I'm wrinkled!

My goal is to live the best life possible for our Lord. He’s blessed me with a full life: a wonderful wife... a beautiful daughter... and an opportunity to love Him back!

And that’s exactly what I want to do!
