Success in the Wisdom Years

The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old. Proverbs 20:29 NIV

“The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority.”  Mark 1:22 NIV

Increased Influence

These are the proverbs of Solomon, David’s son, king of Israel. Their purpose is to teach people wisdom and discipline, to help them understand the insights of the wise. Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair. Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Proverbs 1:1-3, 7 NLT

Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. Then people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others. 1 Thessalonians 4:11 NLT

Build Legacy

For our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me that I must soon leave this earthly life, so I will work hard to make sure you always remember these things after I am gone. 2 Peter 1:14,15 NLT

Be the Sage

Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 26:12 NIV

Assaults:

The assault of Preference

And we who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV

The assault of being Dismissed
