OCC is passionate about supporting parents who are struggling with addressing the special needs of their children. We make every attempt to find respite care, counseling, referrals, and other resources to help families in crisis. If you are in need of help, don’t hesitate to contact us! 1. REFRESH CONFERENCE

Join us annually for our Refresh Conference for foster and adoptive parents. This conference was created out of our deep desire to provide real and practical help as well as deep inspiration and encouragement for our current foster and adoptive families. www.therefreshconference.org.

 

2. ME TOO GROUPs

3. REFRESHED FAMILY CAMP

This is an annual summer family camp for foster and adoptive parents at Warm Beach Camp in Stanwood, WA around August. The Refreshed Family Camp provides foster and adoptive families a time and place to find refreshment by drawing closer to God and each other, great teaching and a tone of family fun activities.

4. HOPE COUNSELING CENTER

Ruth Graham from Hope Counseling Center holds office at OCC 2 days a week. Having fostered over 80 children and adopted 11, Ruth deeply understands the challenges of raising kids from hard places. This is a non-profit counseling and scholarships are available for families in need.

5. CHILDREN’S LAW CENTER OF WASHINGTON

OCC houses this non-profit law clinic that provides low-cost / no-cost legal services supporting permanency for children. Services range from guardianship, adoption finalizations, third-party custodies, and step-parent adoptions. Andrew Schneidler, adoptive father of three, is the founder and practicing attorney of this first-of-its-kind legal clinic. So far, this clinic has helped over 140 orphaned children find permanent families. You can find out more at www.thepermanenceproject.org.
