We are excited to see God's hand at work as He continues to unfold His plans and purposes throughout the prayer movement of OCC. Come and join us and be a part of what God is doing among us.
We want the DNA of the prayer ministry to be built on these things:
- Prayer is our first action, for we recognize that we are totally dependent on God.
- Prayer is the foundation that determines our course.
- Prayer is the mindset that governs our every decision and action.
- Prayer comes from the heart and is not just a mental assent.
- Prayer is humbly seeking God with all our heart and enables Him to be found by us.
- Prayer saturates and penetrates everything and every area of life.
- Prayer becomes as natural to us as breathing.
- Prayer creates an atmosphere of peace and invites the presence of God.
- Prayer helps us deal with pride and keep our hearts right before the Lord.
- Prayer takes many forms so we will not expect each person to pray in the same way.
Results:
- Fervent prayers are the natural result of an intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior.
- Praying together in agreement, based on the Word of God, releases the power of God.
- The DNA of prayer is infused into the body when prayer is modeled on all levels.
- Prayer will give us a covering of peace, protection, and provision and will bring the move of the
Holy Spirit.
- With the move of the Holy Spirit prayer becomes contagious and lives will be transformed in
the church, in our community, and the nations.
- Seeking the Lord for direction will enable us to remain flexible, so that the prayer movement
will remain God directed.
- Modeling prayer and seeing results encourages other to pray.
- Seeking God first and His direction as we begin to pray, will help keep prayer a movement and
not a ministry of man.
