Eagle Outreach Ministries
Partnering with Prison Fellowship Angel Tree Program

Our Vision:
Caring for Children and Families of Inmates

Our Command:
Visit the fatherless (James 1:27)

“Did you know there are more than 40 verses in the Bible, which talk about helping the fatherless?”

Our Mission:
Eagle Outreach Ministries is a network of believers building bridges of trust with children and families of inmates while providing physical and spiritual care and encouraging them to experience the personal saving grace of Jesus Christ and grow as His disciples.

Our Prayer:
Oh that You would bless us indeed, and enlarge our territory, that your hand would be with us, and that You would keep us from evil, that it may not grieve us and we don’t cause pain for the sake of the fatherless and the glory of God.

Overview:
In 1982 several women in the southeast USA realized that many forgotten children of inmates have no Christmas. They converted their words into action and bought gifts for the children. Na-tionally this became Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree ministry. In about 1990, Prisoners for Christ Outreach Ministries (PFC) partnered with Overlake Christian Church (OCC) and a number of other local churches to start the Angel Tree ministry in the Pacific Northwest. Angel Tree began with a Christmas outreach focus but in 2001 it expanded to provide Angel Tree kids with a week at a Christian summer camp. In 2002 we quietly launched the third complementary arm of the ministry – Angel Tree Connections. The ministry provides an abundance of opportunities for you and your family to show the love of Jesus to Angel Tree families.

“Matt 25:45 – Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.” NKJV

Serving With A Team of Partners:
By combining resources from various organizations we can take advantage of bulk purchases or perform activities that can be done better in volume without compromising those portions of the ministry that produce best results using a one-on-one personal relationship.

Some organizations do not have all resources to do the entire ministry. Some do not have enough Angel Tree families in their immediate local area to satisfy their desire to minister. Some have the resources to buy gifts, some have the resources to administer the program, some have the re-sources to deliver the gifts, some have buses or vans, and others can work the registration, and some can provide the money necessary to support the ministry. Since some churches are unable to sponsor the Angel Tree ministry in it’s entirety some volunteers choose to work through us to fulfill their call to serve God and visit the fatherless.

By combining the resources of various organizations contributing at their point of interest and capability we are able to focus in specific areas in the Seattle community where the needs are the greatest for the entire Angel Tree ministry: Christmas, Camping, and Connections.

Advantages of partnering

  • Partners allow organizations to get involved at their point of interest and capability
  • Partners link the efforts of multiple organizations so that a complete ministry can be offered to the Angel Tree kids
  • Partners allow a coordinated ministry to be offered to at risk kids throughout the whole year.
