The runners are carrying the torch to this summer's Vacation Bible Camp at Overlake Christian Church. With a theme centered around the Olympics, The Torch will prove to be a week of fun, Bible stories on the Life of Paul, crafts, great songs, fun, wonderful kid friendly snacks, competition, fun games, and an inspiring atmosphere to Catch It, Keep It and Pass It. This is a week not to be missed. Register early. Space is limited.
The Torch is for children ages 3 (by July 13) through 6th grade (fall ‘08). It will be a great time for all as we sing, play games, hear Bible stories and compete in hilarious games. KIDS, bring your friends, classmates, neighbors and cousins too!
The Torch Begins Sunday (7/13) at 5:30 – 7:30 pm , followed by four mornings (9:30 am - 12:30 pm) of high-energy music, Bible stories, crafts, playground activities and FUN!
We conclude the great week at 6:30 pm Thursday (7/19) with the family carnival. It is truly the "fun finale" to the week. Families, friends, neighbors and relatives are invited for an evening of entertainment, refreshments and carnival excitement for all ages. This tradition is a highlight of the summer for Overlake and Greater Redmond families.
What to Wear: Comfortable summer clothes! Clothing should be easy to clean in case of a spill during craft time. Open-toed shoes are not appropriate for playtime activities.
What to Bring: A friend or two or more is all that is needed.
Registration Fees: Volunteers at VBC pay $15/Family, Child/Guest of families that regularly attend Overlake Christian Church pay $35 per Child, Child of families who do not regularly attend OCC pay $50 per Child, First Time Families: No Charge. This expense includes a shirt and all the supplies and snacks for the entire week. It also covers the Family carnival on Thursday night.
