NEXT OCC MEMBERSHIP CLASS:  Fall 2012

Membership at Overlake Christian Church

Rather than meaning "exclusive," the Overlake family interprets membership as LOCKING INTO the OCC community - where members serve and care for each other as they walk the same spiritual road - together. To become an OCC member you:

• Have a personal relationship with Jesus and recognize him as fully God yet fully human...the Father's answer to restoring our relationship with him and healing the brokeness that keeps us from fully experiencing the true LIFE and relationship with him that he promises.

• Acknowledge the Bible is the Word of God in written form...through which God reveals himself to us and answers the questions we all have about life.

• Have attended an OCC Membership Class and agree with OCC's theological statement, ministry vision/purposes, strategy and structure (i.e. have signed Overlake's "Membershp Covenant"). In other words, you feel at home at OCC, resonate with the ministry God does in and through this church and promise to support it with your time, your finances and by becoming an active participant of this church family.

• Have been baptized by immersion, at some point, after beginning a relationship with Jesus (you can make arrangements to do that at OCC - details/contact info).
