SINGLE ADULTS

Overlake knows it’s important to connect differently at various ages and stages in life.  If you are a single adult, you might want to spend time with other singles who understand or can share in life at the same journey point.  OCC offers a few different groups for singles though we strongly encourage our single adults to be involved in a variety of community opportunities – especially in groups mixed with couples and singles.  These groups strive to emphasize the values of Love God, Love People & Serve the World during their time together.  Here are just a few of the types of groups you can expect to find for single adults:

Here’s what these LifeGroup leaders have to say about their groups:

 “Are you a dirty, dirty sinner?  Are you in your twenties or thirties?  Do you often find yourself at random places because someone said something about free cookies?  Have your excuses for why you aren’t living out loud for the Lord stopped working even on yourself?  This might be the group for you.  We’re a group of broken pasts coming together under the grace of Jesus to live a life that makes Him famous.  We’re real people with real problems talking about a real solution; Jesus Christ. We meet in Sammamish on Thursday evenings at 7pm-ish.  Please note: this is a group that is taught with proper doctrine, just not proper grammar.  Ya dig?”.

Whether it's a small study at Borders before hitting the movies, playing some pool, or dissecting verse by verse God's message to us, it's a great time for food, fellowship and fun on Friday nights!".

 “The 30-Somethings group seeks to further God's kingdom and bring Him glory though living purposefully during our season of singleness.  The group is comprised of men and women in their late 20s to early 40s and meet for Bible study, fellowship, worship, prayer, and ministry both inside and outside the church.   Please feel free to come and join us for Bible study or contact the leader for more information on upcoming events.Definitely feel free to tweak this as appropriate”.

 "The single parents life group is a growing, dynamic group. We have a large number of adults and kids, some of whom know each other well and some of whom are new friends. What all of us has found is that it's been an incredible place to find support for whatever challenges each individual faces. The support has been both practical and emotional/spiritual. Some have developed shared housing and shared childcare arrangements, and others have found prayer partners. We would love to have you join our group and experience the camaraderie!"
