Love People

Overlake's second ministry purpose (following LOVE GOD) is to LOVE PEOPLE. Check out what Jesus said in Matthew 22 when asked which was the GREATEST commandment found in scripture:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." (v. 37-40).

Wow. EVERY law hangs on these two commandments -- which is why at Overlake, Jesus' call on our lives to LOVE GOD is followed by His command that we LOVE PEOPLE...OCC's second ministry purpose.

The OCC ministries (and other links) listed under our LOVE PEOPLE heading share a common focus: creating experiences and opporutnities for people to express their love for Jesus by showing that love to others.
