At Overlake Christian Church we believe it is essential that couples considering marriage receive practical biblical teaching and training on marriage and family. The counseling department of OCC is committed to helping couples build the foundation for a fulfilling lifelong commitment to marriage. It is our goal to strengthen each couple’s relationship with God as well as their relationship to each other.
Overlake Christian Church offers an intensive nine-week marriage preparation class to evaluate and train couples wishing to be married. The “Before I Do” Pre-Marriage class is offered on a rotating basis throughout the year. The class operates in a small group format with a mature, mentoring couple facilitating the training and discussion. Each couple will also take the Prepare/Enrich inventory to help evaluate and assess their relationship strengths and weaknesses. The “Before I Do” Pre-marital class is required for all couples wishing to be married on the OCC campus or by an OCC pastor off campus.
