kids // KidTown GetDown

What is the Kidtown Getdown?

It's a short 8-10 minute weekly video where Jon & April get down into some silly banters, get down into a game you can do at home, get down into Bible story, and get down with worship together!

Catch up on all the episodes here:

Episode 1: In this episode we learn about proper hand washing techniques, Jon gets blindfolded and has to catch fish in his net, we tell the story of how Jesus helped Peter and the disciples catch fish in John 21, and we sing J-E-S-U-S with a ukelele!

Episode 2: In this episode we learn about sharing toilet paper and social distancing. Jon and April compete in a animal charades game, we tell the story of Noah's Ark and how God was and is always there for us, and then we sing J-E-S-U-S one more time!

The Apostle's Creed Series:

A series that breaks down this statement (click here to read it as a family) of what we believe as Christians about who God is in terms of the Trinity. We break it down into God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Episode 3 (Week 1 of 3 of the Apostle's Creed): In this episode we go outside to hula hoop and we create some things out of play doh! We begin a new series about the Apostle's Creed, which is a statement of what we believe about the Trinity as Christians. We start by with part 1 by teaching about God the Father, our creator! Then we end our time with a new song called Ask, Seek, Knock.

Episode 4 (Week 2 of 3 of the Apostle's Creed): In this episode we answer silly and serious questions that kids from Kidtown sent in and then Jon & April compete to see who can get an Oreo from their forehead to their mouth the fastest. We continue our study about the Apostle's Creed by talking about God the Son aka Jesus. We get down into John 11 and talk about the story of Lazarus and then we end with our new song Ask, Seek, Knock!
