Find A Life Group

Life Groups are affinity-based groups by relationship, geography, age, gender, common need or interest meeting at OCC and elsewhere. OCC’s Life Groups Team is here to help you connect.

Here are the types of groups you will find with the above button:

AWAKE – Women’s Life Groups:  we intentionally create smaller groups where women can share deeply.  And no apologies made for going after what God wants for women – truth, transparency and authenticity in the way we live life!

EPIC – Men’s Life Groups: guys are inspired to be in community together seeking after God’s plan and purpose in their lives. Destiny:: Alignment::Warfare::Intimacy::Revelation::Breakthrough are words that you’ll hear guys talking about in groups at OCC as they deal with life.

Married Life Groups: the married ‘state’ with or without children, brings joy and challenge.  Together, married couples learn to communicate, celebrate differences & trust God.  They support & spur one another on to marriages that don’t just survive, but come alive!

Single Adults:  these affinity groups both on and off campus are geared toward the various ages and stages of single life.  Find groups for post-college or early career young adults in their 20’s and groups for the 30Something.  FORTYPLUS meets and studies on campus and finds great social events to attend together regularly off campus.

Mixed Life Groups:  these groups are made up of single adults or married couples and are generally   multi-generational.  People in mixed groups enjoy sharing and experiencing life with a variety of people and are not concerned with a specific affinity. They tend go after deeper study together.

Ethnic: the community that surrounds Overlake is richly diverse! OCC provides groups specifically to help those newer to the community ease into the idea of doing Christian life together while sharing cultural tradition and custom.  Chinese, Japanese, Iranian, Pakistani & Moldavian are a few ethnic groups and fellowships that meet both on and off campus.

Young Adult: young post college and early career people find genuine connection at Overlake. Some groups are informal and are built around social dialogue in living room settings.  Other groups meet together on justice issues.  All share a deeper desire to learn about and know Jesus in community with others just like themselves.

Support Groups:  Celebrate Recovery, divorce care, recovery from abuse, griefshare and more – OCC provides a safe environment to overcome the deep challenges in life.  Join one of more than a dozen groups designed to support you along the path to health and healing.

Sports & Outdoors:  with a heart to engage our community, most sports and outdoor activities at Overlake  are designed not only for fun but outreach too!  You can join volleyball, badminton, flag football, basketball, cycling, softball (men’s and co-ed) and fall soccer to name a few.  Look for motorcycle groups & men’s golf connections spring of 2011.
