A Little Pride...

Hello OCC Family,

This week, I've spent some time thanking JESUS for you!

I'm really proud of the journey that you are on!

"So we have not stopped praying for you...We ask God to give you complete knowledge of His will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better." Colossians 1:9,10 NLT

- I'm proud of those folks who are taking an honest look at their finances and bringing them underneath God's Plan...(and if you'd like to take ANOTHER step, enroll now in OCC's Financial Peace University taught on DVD by financial expert and radio talk show host, Dave Ramsey).

AWAKE- I'm proud of those women who signed up to hit the AWAKE woman's event this weekend. For those of you who are still thinking about coming, Come ON Over! Walk up registrations are still available starting at 6:30 pm TONIGHT (learn more).

- I'm proud of those who "Serve the World" and care for others in tangible ways. I'm proud of the hundreds of students who did the backyard mission trip during spring break...I'm proud of our Elders and teams that continue to be involved in missions work around the globe...(I'd love to invite YOU to head out on a short term trip...click here for details).

- Proud of those who invited people to Easter at Overlake and the way so many of them continue to follow up on those relationships...We're talking about getting Unstuck from the Fog of Family Issues...and if you've missed any of our Unstuck series, you can listen to the topics we've already discussed online.

- Proud of you for making Overlake a safe place for people to journey towards Jesus. Every time you are kind to someone you don't know at a service, every time you fill out a Connection Card, every time you work to make OCC the friendliest place on the Eastside, you are building the culture of CARE, and I love it! More importantly, so does God! I'm proud of you!

That's a ton of pride I've got over you, but the good kind, more like pleasure that comes from the good things that you are allowing God to do through you!

This life is a journey, and we march forward with the two feet of grace and truth...may you walk joyfully this weekend, because you walk with JESUS!

Keep growing as you learn to know God better and better!

Journeying Together,
Mike
