E-vite a Friend
Sample Services
Overlake Christian Churchoverlake@occ.orgDirections

Here are five easy ways to Bringvite your friends Easter Weekend:

IN A RECENT SURVEY: Most Americans said they’d accept an invitation to attend church at Easter...ESPECIALLY when someone they knew and trusted asked AND accompanied them to a service that addressed issues or needs they were struggling with at that moment. This thinking is at the HEART of Easter at Overlake! Please consider who'll you'll invite to join you Easter Weekend (e-vite a friend using the link above and consider the OTHER ways listed as well)!  Research info provided by Saddleback Church

CLICK E-VITE A FRIEND ABOVE. The invitation includes the Bringvitation Instructional Video

GIVE THEM AN ILLUMINATE LIVE CD! CDs sold in the Mallway this Sunday are four for just $20!  The IDEA is that you can purchase them to GIVE THEM AWAY to friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. (one CD is still $15, but the other three are less that $2/each – what a deal)!

GIVE THEM A TOUCH CARD.  They'll be in this Sunday's bulletin with additional cards available at the Mallway Information Center.

DISPLAY AN EASTER AT OVERLAKE YARD SIGN. If you didn't get a yard sign last Sunday, take one as you leave Overlake this Sunday.

HAVE A CONVERSATION!  We realize that the most effective tool in bringviting friends to Overlake is when we have face to face conversations. Pray for opportunities to have a conversation that leads to a bringvitation.

LIFE GROUP LEADERS - LOOKING FOR STUDY MATERIALS FOR YOUR GROUP? Try using sermon notes on the OCC Web site. From the OCC home page:

Click Jesus 101,

Then take some notes,
Then date and title of the sermon

Gary Meder, Life group Leader, tells how his group does it: "Studying Mike's sermon really was great. There are a couple of our people who attend another church. With the outline they could really get into it right along with the rest of us. Together with the notes several of us take during the sermons we had a great time. I would suggest that all the groups consider studying along with the Sunday sermons." (Online sermon notes are usually available the Monday following the message)

SHORT-TERM TEAM OPPORTUNITIES: Serve the world globally by joining a short term team this summer. Several teams are beginning their training. Click here for a complete list.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY (CR) is a nationally recognized Christian 12-step program addressing a wide variety of fears, hurts, habits, and hang-ups that emphasizes 8 Recovery Principles based upon the Beatitudes. All who know they are hurting, weak and struggling are invited to attend each Tuesday at 7 pm in the Chapel (and join us for BBQ at 6 pm in the Lobby). For more information stop by the Mallway table on Sunday or contact Drew in OCC's Caring Ministries.

For families in Celebrate Recovery and Tuesday night Support Groups: A special children’s program is available from 6:15 – 9:15 pm while you attend CR or your Tuesday OCC Support Group meeting. For just $5 for the first child and $3 for the second child, your newborn through eleven-year old will be cared for and receive dinner at the Celebrate Recovery BBQ. For more information contact Kathy in Overlake's Support Group Ministry.
