"All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching,
for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,
that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
"Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my
mother conceive me."
"Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his
mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came
together she was found to be with child of the Holy Spirit."
"For we have not a high priest who is unable to sympathize with
our weakness, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we
are, yet without sin."
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also
received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the
scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third
day in accordance with the scriptures."
"And when I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again
and will take you to myself, that where I am you may also be."
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is
not your own doing, it is the gift of God - not because of works,
lest any man should boast."
"And as they went along the road they came to some water, and
the eunuch said, "See, here is water! What is to prevent my being
baptized?" And he commanded the chariot to stop, and they both
went down into the water, Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized
him. And when they came out of the water; the Spirit of the Lord
caught up Philip; and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his
way rejoicing."
"What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace
may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in
it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into
Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried
therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was
raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk
in newness of life."
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me;
and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no
one shall snatch them out of my hand."
"Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave
himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed
her by the washing of water with the word, that he might present
the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or
any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. Even
so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who
loves his wife loves himself. For no man ever hates his own
flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, as Christ does the
church, because we are members of his body. "For this reason a
man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife
and the two shall become one flesh." This mystery is a profound
one, and I am saying that it refers to Christ and the church;
however, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let
the wife see that she respects her husband."
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on
earth has been given to me. Go therefore and makes disciples of
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the
Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I
have commanded you; and lo; I am with you always, to the close
of age."
"In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel
of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with
the promised Holy Spirit, which is the guarantee of our
inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of
his glory."
