A Message from Mike
Friends of Overlake,
NEWS JUST RECEIVED from our from our missionaries in quake-shaken Chile. Jeff and Kathy Phillips in the Santiago area are safe, as are other members the Iberoamerican Ministries team, though some of them have lost their homes and a number of church buildings are now damaged. Despite that, IAM is working to send a relief team to the hardest-hit areas near the city of Concepción. PLEASE PRAY for Jeff and Kathy and IAM as they minister to many in Jesus name. Check out IAM online to see pictures and learn how you can help.
Now, here at home...something's happening at OCC Wednesday evening...and YOU need to be
there! Our FIRST WEDNESDAY service in the Chapel is an awesome way to
care for your heart (here at the front end of a new month).
Pastor Gary's teaching always takes us DEEPER (he's unpacking biblical truth surrounding the Holy Spirit this time around) and Jesus always shows up when we worship together as a church family. Oh, and a bunch of people
are being baptized...something guaranteed to move you! Nursery and kids'
programs are up and running through 6th grade...so DON'T MISS First
Wednesday at 7 pm (March 3) in the Chapel.
...and MEN OF OVERLAKE - REGISTER NOW for EPIC! It's
just days away and YOU NEED TO BE THERE! Take five minutes and jump
online so we know you're coming this Friday night and Saturday morning.
Joining Pastor Gary and me is Eric Bryant, a great guy, speaker and
author from a the way-cool MOSAIC church community. You'll connect with
other guys AND more deeply with God at EPIC...plus we've got a bunch of
rockin' AFTER HOURS stuff planned for Friday night - so REGISTER NOW for EPIC!
Also, we NEED your help on behalf of some precious kids at OCC.
Overlake is one of the few local churches that offers Sunday morning
programs, specifically for special needs children, ages 3 - 13. If you
or someone you know has specialized training and a heart to volunteer,
please e-mail Karrie Wright in our Children's
Ministry office. Even a few hours a month to be Jesus to these kids
would be a blessing.
Hey, you know I love you...and what God's doing at OCC!

Mike Howerton
Lead Pastor

through James continues. If you missed last Sunday (or ANY message in
